Cliff's projects before Metallica

Easy Street
It was Cliff's first band ever. They mostly played cover songs.

Trauma
After high school he went on to Trauma, a prominent San Francisco Bay Area band noted for its impulsive playing. Cliff odded from his band members on stage by his constantly headbanging and his freaky style of jamming on his bass.

He recorded some demos with Trauma. One of their songs is called "Such A Shame" and is found on Metal Massacre 2.
